New Orleans

The Milwaukee Mustangs Intermediate Girls 4x100 relay placed 46th in the nation today! There were only two teams from Milwaukee that qualified, and Jayne's relay came out on top for Wisconsin. It was more than 100 degrees with over 90% humidity at the track!

4 x 100 Relay Team

Jayne's 4 x 100 meter relay placed second and qualified for the National Junior National Olympics. The Milwaukee Mustangs 4 x 100 relay is ranked on the National Elite Youth Honor Roll.  The relay runs on Friday, August 5th, at the Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans.

USA Track & Field State Meet

Jayne earned her second medal of the club season when her 4 x 100 relay team came in third with a time of 50.3 seconds.  This time would have beat her high school's record!  She also took sixth in the 100.  The next two meets are in Minneapolis the first two weekends of July.

AAU State Championship

Jayne is running in the Intermediate age group this year in club track, which consists of 15 and 16 year old girls.  At AAU State today, she earned a second (4 x 100 relay) and seventh place (100 meter).

Club Track Season Starts June 6th

The Milwaukee Mustangs began practicing June 6th, and the first meet is on Sunday, June 12th at Carroll College in Waukesha.  Jayne made the cut for the "A" team for the 4x100 meter relay!

End of High School Track Season

May 23, 2011 Regionals

Jayne just missed qualifying to run the 100 meter dash at Sectionals.  For running on her gift and less than 12 practices, she did an awesome job.  Just wait until her sophomore year!  The 4 x 100 meter relay team was expected to break the school record and advance to state.  Unfortunately, there was a handoff mishap in the first exchange zone, and the Germantown relay team was disqualified.  It was heartbreaking to watch, but Jayne anchored the relay, giving it her all.

North Shore Conference

May 17, 2011

Jayne placed 4th in the 100 meter dash and 3rd in the 4 x 100 relay tonight.  As a freshman, Jayne earned her first Varsity Track medal!

Regionals are next Monday, and when Jayne places in the top four, she will run in Sectionals next Thursday!

She's Back!

Jayne competed at Cedarburg High School tonight, where she won the 100 meter dash also and anchored the winning 4x100 meter relay.

Sorry for not posting for so long.  Jayne has been out of track and injured since March.  Tonight at Nicolet High School Conference Relays, she ran for the first time as a member of the Germantown Varsity Track Team.  Eight teams competed.  Jaynewas part of the four member Sprint Medley, which came in second place.  The 4x100 came in fourth.

HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

This will be Jayne's first year of High School Track.  Practice begins March 7th, and the first meet is the following week.  The spring schedule is listed on the left hand side of this blog.
